Dr Nipun Shrestha is a full-time researcher at the University of Adelaide's School of Public Health, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. He holds an MD from Nepal and has completed a PhD and postdoctoral research roles at the University of Sydney and University of Liverpool. His research focuses on advanced epidemiological methods, evidence synthesis (including prospective meta-analysis and individual participant data meta-analysis), and guideline development. He has authored 18 systematic reviews that inform international guidelines. Currently, he leads a project developing Australia’s Motor Neurone Disease Guideline. His work includes collaborations such as the iCOMP (cord management in preterm infants) and TOPCHILD (early childhood obesity prevention) projects, and has designed mental health interventions in Colombia and Nepal.

Research Interests: Dr Shrestha’s work spans epidemiology, global health inequities, and systematic review methodologies.
