Sonja Inglefield serves as an Adjunct Lecturer in Harp and Music Performance at the State University of New York at Fredonia's School of Music, where she has been faculty since 2012. A versatile performer, she has extensive experience as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral player, clinician, adjudicator, and pedagogue with performances across the United States and Europe.
Her academic credentials include:
- Master’s Degree in pedagogy from the Peabody Conservatory
- Artist Diploma in performance from the Peabody Conservatory
Professor Inglefield specializes in contemporary harp music, harp pedagogy, and composition. She has premiered and commissioned numerous works for the harp, serves as Director of the Composition Contest for the USA International Harp Competition, and publishes educational materials for beginning harpists through Lyon&Healy. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes individualized lesson planning based on each student's background and goals.
