Simeon Burns is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Howard H. Baker Jr. School of Public Policy and Public Affairs, affiliated with the Institute of American Civics at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. His work focuses on the history of political thought, particularly classical political philosophy.

- Dissertation: The Republics of Plato: A Dramatic Interpretation of the Early Cities in Plato’s Republic
His research interprets Books II-III of Plato’s Republic through a dramatic lens, exploring foundational concepts in political theory. He has taught courses in American Government, Ethics, Political Theory, and International Politics.
