Tracy Burns

Tracy Burns is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Interior Design at Louisiana State University (LSU), serving as Professional in Residence since 2006. She is also the Professional Residency Coordinator for the School of Interior Design and co-owner of CDI Solutions, where she works as a principal designer. With over 28 years of professional experience, her expertise spans interior design project management, AutoCAD, and software applications for design. Burns holds a Bachelor of Interior Design (BID) from LSU and is a Louisiana-licensed interior designer and NCIDQ-certified professional.

Her research and teaching focus on interior materials, finishes, furnishings, and professional practices in design. She coordinates LSU’s Interior Design Professional Residency program and teaches courses including ID 2775 Interior Materials, Finishes and Furnishings, ID 3760 Career Development, and ID 4765 Interior Design Professional Residency. CDI Solutions employs LSU graduates and actively supports student internships.
