Silvia Moscatelli is an Associate Professor of Social Psychology at the Department of Psychology, University of Bologna, holding this position since September 2014 after serving as Lecturer from 2006-2014. Her academic foundation includes a PhD in Social, Developmental and Organisational Psychology (2004) and Master's degree in Psychology (1999, cum laude) from the same institution.

Research Interests: Dr. Moscatelli's work centers on gender dynamics in professional settings, collective action for equality, sexualization/abuse phenomena, morality's role in social relations, linguistic discrimination patterns, and psychosocial aspects of assisted reproduction. Her research integrates intergroup theory with practical applications in workplace justice and communication ethics, often examining how moral frameworks influence discrimination and group behavior.

Advising and Grants: She currently supervises PhD student Corinne Stella Kana Kenfack and previously mentored research fellow Francesca Prati. As Scientific Coordinator for the FIRB Program Futuro in Ricerca 2012 (€218,642 funding), she led research on morality in social relationships (2013-2017). She also contributed to projects on work flexibility (Fondazione Zancan, 2005-2006) and adolescent relationships (Cooperativa Sociale ProntoSì, 1999-2001).
Professional Activities: Dr. Moscatelli serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Language and Social Psychology, referees for 8 major journals including Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, and holds institutional roles including Department Giunta member (since 2018), Ethic Committee member (since 2015), and Erasmus program coordinator for 9 European universities since 2009.
