Siavash Amon, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences at Le Moyne College. His research focuses on the intersection of gut microbiome, neuroscience, genetics, and toxicology, using the model organism Caenorhabditis elegans. He investigates how environmental factors like pharmaceuticals and gut microbiota influence health and development, with particular interest in neurological diseases such as Parkinson’s and ALS.
