Shubham Jain

Shubham Jain is a Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge Faculty of Law focusing on human rights, sports governance, and equity in cricket. His doctoral research examines inequitable access to sport across India, South Africa and the UK through socio-legal frameworks. Jain has received multiple academic awards including the WM Tapp Studentship and British Institute Scholarship.

As Executive Director of the Cambridge Pro Bono Project and researcher at the Centre for Sport & Human Rights, Jain investigates power structures in sports institutions. His research merges human rights law with critical analysis of meritocracy and racial dynamics in international cricket.

Jain's publications include contributions to the Routledge Handbook of Mega-Sporting Events and articles analyzing human rights relativism in global sports events. His work advocates for institutional reforms to promote inclusion in sporting cultures.
