Daniela Heerdt

Daniela Heerdt is a researcher at the T.M.C. Asser Institute specializing in the intersection of sport and human rights, with a focus on public international law and human rights law. Her PhD dissertation from Tilburg University (2021), titled "Blurred Lines of Responsibility and Accountability – Human Rights Abuses at Mega-Sporting Events", explores legal accountability for human rights violations involving vulnerable groups like children and migrant workers.
