Shirin Weigelt

Shirin Weigelt is a Researcher at the Department of Philosophy, Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle. She holds a Master's degree in Philosophy from Freie Universität Berlin, focusing on the relationship between lies and politics in post-factual eras. Her research emphasizes phenomenological analyses grounded in power theory, with a current focus on media-philosophical studies of digital media's relational dynamics. Her work intersects media anthropology, French philosophy, new materialisms, affect studies, mysticism, and feminist theory.

She is affiliated with the Graduate School of Media Anthropology at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, where her doctoral research is developing. Her academic engagements include organizing and participating in interdisciplinary events such as exhibitions and lectures, including 'ZUKÜNFTE – Material und Design von Morgen' and 'Soundinstallation ,,Dreamworld''.

Weigelt regularly contributes to academic and artistic events, such as the BURG Summer School, Designblok Prague, and the Jahresausstellung 2025, showcasing her interdisciplinary approach to philosophy and design.
