She earned her MD from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine (2010) with highest academic honors, completed Internal Medicine residency at Stony Brook University Medical Center (2013), and obtained an MS in Chronic Disease Epidemiology from Yale School of Public Health (2019).
- Education: MD (2010), MS (2019)
- Appointments: Nephrology (Primary), CTRA, Internal Medicine
Her research focuses on identifying repair biomarkers in acute kidney injury (AKI) patients to predict long-term renal and cardiovascular outcomes. She specializes in translational epidemiology, vascular repair pathways, and graft survival analysis post-transplantation. Current projects include:
- Vascular Repair Biomarkers in Hospitalized Patients
- Phenotyping Deceased Donor AKI
- Angiopoietin Pathway in Transplant Outcomes
- Kidney-Heart Interactions in AKI Survivors
Her recent publications analyze vascular biomarkers for heart failure risk stratification in AKI patients and biomarker panels for kidney disease progression. She has received multiple awards including NIH/NIDDK K23 funding, American Heart Association Career Development Grant, and institutional honors from Stony Brook and Yale.
