معرفی
F. Perry Wilson, MD, MSCE is an Associate Professor of Medicine (Nephrology) and Public Health (Chronic Disease Epidemiology) at Yale University. He serves as Director of the Clinical and Translational Research Accelerator (CTRA), Course Director for Interpretation of the Medical Literature, and Co-Director of the Human Genetics and Clinical Research Core at Yale School of Medicine.
Dr. Wilson's educational background includes a BA in Biochemistry from Harvard College (2001), an MD from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons (2006), residency and fellowship training at the University of Pennsylvania, and an MSCE in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Pennsylvania (2012).
His research focuses on applying data science tools to improve patient care through personalized medicine. Dr. Wilson specializes in using machine learning, digital health devices, and epidemiologic methods to target diagnostic and therapeutic interventions at the point of care. His work aims to make care delivery more efficient by targeting interventions to patients most likely to benefit, thereby reducing unnecessary drug exposure, adverse events, and costs.
Dr. Wilson's recent publications demonstrate a strong emphasis on acute kidney injury (AKI), clinical decision support systems, and digital health interventions. His work spans from developing AI-based prediction models to implementing electronic health record alerts that improve clinical outcomes. He has pioneered research in personalized AKI management through the Kidney Action Team (KAT-AKI) approach and has made significant contributions to understanding AKI in special populations including neonates and patients with heart failure.

Dr. Wilson mentors clinical fellows including Abinet Aklilu, MD/MPH, and has served as Principal Investigator for multiple clinical trials including the PROMPT-MRA trial. His research has been supported by various funding mechanisms including American Heart Association grants. He is internationally recognized for his expertise in medical study design and interpretation, and created the popular Coursera course "Understanding Medical Research: Your Facebook Friend Is Wrong."
As Director of the Clinical and Translational Research Accelerator, Dr. Wilson leads a team dedicated to applying laboratory discoveries to clinical studies and trial design. The CTRA focuses on biomarker discovery, validation, and interventional data science across multiple domains including acute kidney injury, heart failure, and digital health interventions.
