Shelley Gray is a Professor in the College of Health Solutions at Arizona State University (ASU), specializing in Speech and Hearing Science. She also holds affiliate faculty roles in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College and the School of Life Sciences. Her primary research focuses on child language and literacy development, working memory, and evidence-based interventions for children with language disorders. She leads the Child Language and Literacy Lab (CHILLL), which develops and tests curricula like the Teaching Early Literacy and Language (TELL) program.
Education: Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Arizona.
Research Interests include early literacy, language assessment, bilingual education, and cognitive processes such as working memory. Her work emphasizes interventions for disadvantaged populations and dual-language learners.
