Barbara J. Moore

Dr. Barbara J. Moore serves as Clinical Professor of Otolaryngology (Clinician Educator) at the University of Southern California, directing both the Master of Sciences in Speech-Language Pathology program and the Minor in Speech-Language and Hearing Professions within the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery.

Her research focuses on Speech-Language Pathology with specialization in child language disorders, school-based service delivery systems, and language-literacy interventions. She champions evidence-based program design for children and adults with communication/swallowing disorders while advocating for legislative reforms to expand service accessibility across healthcare and educational settings.

Her leadership extends to national advocacy through past roles as ASHA Board Vice President of Planning (2010-2013) and CSHA President, where she shaped policy frameworks for communication disorder services.
