Sheila Gallagher is an Associate Professor of Studio Art and Director of Undergraduate Studies at Boston College's Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences. She holds an M.F.A. from Tufts University/School of the Museum of Fine Arts. Her interdisciplinary work explores perception, belief, and representation through media like video, drawing, animation, and light projections. Gallagher has exhibited globally at institutions including the Institute of Contemporary Art (Boston), Museum of Fine Arts (Boston), and Crystal Bridges Museum (Arkansas). She co-curates the Becker Collection of Civil War drawings and co-directs the Guestbook Project, a peace-building initiative for youth in divided communities.
