Georgie Friedman is a Part-Time Faculty member in the Department of Studio Art and Film Studies at Boston College, affiliated with the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences. She holds a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz and an M.F.A. from Tufts University/School of the Museum of Fine Arts. Her interdisciplinary practice focuses on climate change, atmospheric phenomena, and the intersection of art with science and urban design, often utilizing video installations, sculpture, and public art. Notable awards include the Massachusetts Cultural Council Artist Fellowship (2013), an Artist Traveling Fellowship to Antarctica (2017), and a Boston AIR residency (2016).
