Sheila Feay-Shaw is a Professor and Music Education Area Head at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's Music Department. She joined the faculty in 2008 and specializes in world music pedagogy, cultural consciousness in education, and elementary general music. Her expertise spans over 15 years of K-12 teaching experience in Milwaukee, Seattle, and Tukwila.

Research interests include integrating global musical traditions into education, cultural authenticity in teaching practices, and historical perspectives of marginalized musical cultures. Her awards include the 2022 Outstanding Creative Research Award and 2012 WMEA Michael G. George Service Award. She has led research groups for WMEA and NAfME's Social Sciences division, emphasizing applied research in music education policy.
