Shauna Van Praagh is a Full Professor at McGill University's Faculty of Law, where she has taught since 1993. She has held leadership roles including Associate Dean (Graduate Studies in Law) from 2007–2010 and interim Dean in 2009. Her academic career spans teaching at Columbia University and King's College London, with sabbaticals at institutions in Buenos Aires, Barcelona, and Jerusalem. She specializes in legal education, children and law, law and religion, and tort law, emphasizing pluralism and interdisciplinary approaches. A recipient of the 1995 John W. Durnford Award for Excellence in Teaching, she co-leads Quebec’s ADAJ project on youth access to justice and has authored influential works like Stateless Law (2015) and Building Justice (2022).
