Rosalie Jukier is a Full Professor at McGill University's Faculty of Law, holding the Sir William C. Macdonald Chair. She has been a faculty member since 1985, specializing in Comparative Contract Law, Judicial Methodology, and Legal Pedagogy. Her academic roles include Associate Dean positions in Admissions, Strategic Planning, Graduate Studies, and Academic Affairs, alongside significant administrative leadership as Dean of Students (1995-2001).
Education: BCL (Oxford, 1985), BCL/LLB (McGill, 1983) with top academic medals. She is a member of the Quebec Bar since 1986.
Research focuses on specific performance remedies, legal traditions' impact on procedural law, and transsystemic legal education. Awards include multiple teaching excellence recognitions and the 2024 King Charles III Coronation Medal.
Publications span 4 decades with key works on mixed legal systems, judicial methodology, and pedagogy innovation. She co-edited The Unbounded Level of the Mind: Rod Macdonald’s Legal Imagination (2015) and pioneered transsystemic teaching approaches.
