Sharyn Edwards is a Senior Lecturer in Paramedic Practice at the College of Health, Wellbeing and Life Sciences, Sheffield Hallam University. She leads the BSc Paramedic Science course and serves as the Simulation Lead and Undergraduate Recruitment Coordinator. With extensive clinical experience in ambulance services, she transitioned to academia in 2015 as a full-time lecturer after five years as an associate lecturer, contributing to the development of the DipHE Paramedic Practice course.
Her specialist interests include paramedicine, simulation-based education, teaching technology integration, and paramedic leadership. She is registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and holds membership in the College of Paramedics (CoP).
Sharyn focuses on enhancing student learning through controlled simulation environments, enabling safe practice of diverse clinical scenarios. She also engages in paramedic peer coaching activities.
