Suzy Paget is a Senior Lecturer in Paramedic Practice at the University of Wolverhampton, Faculty of Education, Health & Wellbeing, affiliated with the School of Nursing and Midwifery. She has been a full-time academic since July 2016, contributing significantly to the DipHe and BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science programmes.
Her educational background includes a PG Cert in Higher Education and Professional Practice (2016), BSc (Hons) Geoscience from the Open University with First-Class Honours (2014), and a Cert Ed. from the University of Worcester (2005).
Suzy's research and teaching focus on the core sciences underpinning paramedic practice, clinical skills, trauma and critical care, and urgent conditions. Her expertise bridges academic instruction and frontline emergency care, informed by over two decades of operational experience in ambulance services.
Her professional memberships include HCPC Paramedic, Member of the College of Paramedics (MCPara), and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). These reflect her commitment to both clinical excellence and pedagogical quality.
Suzy serves as the placement coordinator for paramedic science programmes, managing clinical placements across partner ambulance services and healthcare trusts. She previously held roles as a lecturer-practitioner and education and training officer with the West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust, combining academic and operational responsibilities.
