Shannon Webb is an Adjunct Professor at Queen's University, affiliated with the Faculty of Arts and Science's Employment Relations Studies department. She holds an LL.B. from Western University, an M.I.R. from Queen’s University, a Ph.D. from St. Mary’s University, and an LL.M. from York University. Her interdisciplinary background bridges law and industrial relations.
Dr. Webb has practiced management-side labour and employment law, advising clients on employment agreements, collective bargaining, wrongful dismissal, human rights, and grievance arbitration. She currently teaches graduate courses in Queen’s Masters of Industrial Relations program and EMPR Certificate program, as well as at Fanshawe College’s Human Resources Management Graduate Certificate program. She also teaches part-time in the BMOS program at Western University.
Her research focuses on empirical analyses of labour and employment law, including the impact of expedited arbitration processes in dismissal cases and Supreme Court of Canada case law under s. 2 of the Charter. This work blends legal, organizational, and human rights perspectives.
Dr. Webb’s academic contributions emphasize practical legal analysis and institutional dynamics within workplace law frameworks. Her teaching spans multiple institutions, reflecting her commitment to advancing professional and academic expertise in human resources and industrial relations.
