Shannon McRae

Dr. Shannon McRae is a Professor and Coordinator of Film Studies at SUNY Fredonia. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Washington. Her research focuses on intersections of religion and popular culture, literary modernism/postmodernism, folk religions, and psychoanalytic theory. She has contributed entries to the World Religions and Spirituality Project and published in Film Criticism. McRae has presented widely at conferences including the Southwest Popular/American Culture Association and the Society for the Study of Midwestern Literature.
