Shannon Casebeer is Associate Professor and Jim and Carolyn Grier Construction Science Chair at Kansas State University's Department of Architectural Engineering and Construction Science. His research innovates sustainable construction methods using recyclable plastics to develop new building materials like plastic masonry units.
Casebeer teaches construction estimating and preconstruction services while advising student groups including AGC, USGBC, Solar Decathlon teams, and Sigma Lambda Chi honor society. His applied research involves undergraduate teams in value engineering projects for industry clients.
