Sean Canty is an Associate Professor of Architecture at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design (GSD), where he teaches Core Design Studios and courses in design media/techniques. His research explores architectural form’s capacity to reshape spatial norms and social interactions. Canty is founder of Studio Sean Canty (SSC), an architecture practice based in Cambridge, MA, and cofounder of Office III, a collaborative design collective with offices in New York, San Francisco, and Cambridge. His work emphasizes novel geometries, material experimentation, and immersive visualization techniques.

Research interests focus on abstraction, representation, and typological innovation in architecture.
