Scott McDonald serves as a Lecturer and Director of the TLU Jazz Band in the School of Music at Texas Lutheran University (TLU), where he also teaches saxophone and music education while supervising student teachers. He has accumulated 32 years of experience teaching 6A public high school bands in the San Antonio area.
- Education: Bachelor of Music Education from Texas Tech University and Master of Music Education from Texas State University.
McDonald has earned 30 years of UIL Sweepstakes awards and acts as an Area Jazz Clinician. He is actively involved in professional organizations, including the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA), Texas Bandmasters Association (TBA), and Texas Jazz Educators Association (TJEA).
