Roles and Affiliations: Guy McKinney serves as Director of Bands/Fine Arts for Mercedes ISD since 2000 and adjunct professor at VanderCook College of Music, teaching MECA courses. He also teaches dual enrollment Music Appreciation at South Texas College.

- M.M. from American Band College of Southern Oregon University
Research and Expertise: Specializes in music education, band and orchestra direction, and marching band techniques. Promotes student musicianship and ensemble excellence through administrative leadership and pedagogical innovation.
Professional Contributions: Organized events such as the Queen City Marching Festival and Area G-5A Marching Band Contest. Published articles in BandWorld Magazine and Band Directors Talk Shop, and served as a guest conductor and TMEA Region 28 President. His ensembles have earned UIL Superior ratings and Sweepstakes Awards.
Labs/Teams: Member and assistant conductor of the McAllen Wind Symphony, a community ensemble.
