Dr. Scott Brooks is an Associate Professor of Sociology and Director of the Global Sport Institute at Arizona State University. His research focuses on youth and sports, inequality in sports, coaching leadership, and community-based interventions. He consults with major sports organizations like the NFL and MLB, and is a senior fellow at the Wharton Sports Business Initiative and Yale Urban Ethnography Project. Brooks holds a BA from UC Berkeley, MA from California State University, East Bay, and PhD from the University of Pennsylvania.
