Nicole Detling

Nicole Detling is an Instructor in the Department of Sport & Performance Psychology (SPP) at the University of Western States. She is also the founder and owner of HeadStrong Consulting, LLC, a mental performance coaching firm. Her work spans over 25 years, specializing in supporting high-level performers in sports, business, and arts.

Dr. Detling has worked with Team USA at three Olympic/Paralympic Games and coached 32 medalists, 16 world champions, and numerous professional athletes (NBA, NFL, MLB, etc.). She served as mental performance coach for MLS's Real Salt Lake, Real Monarchs, and Utah Royals (NWSL). Her expertise includes team dynamics, resilience training, and leadership development.

As a keynote speaker, she delivers global workshops for businesses and athletic organizations, emphasizing performance optimization under pressure. Her career highlights include aiding national championship teams and state champions across multiple sports.
