Dr. Todd Kays is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at The Ohio State University, where he also serves as an adjunct faculty member teaching Sport Psychology and Positive Psychology. He has extensive experience as a sport psychologist, notably serving the Columbus Crew (Major League Soccer) for five years and consulting with athletes and coaches across NFL, MLB, MLS, USTA, PGA, and LPGA. His work extends to business consultancy with organizations like NAPA Auto Parts, Huntington Bank, and Ohio Health.
Dr. Kays is a prolific author, co-authoring books such as Sport Psychology for Dummies (2010), Athlete’s Journal (2016), and Golfer’s Journal (2017), which focus on mental performance strategies and athlete development. His research interests center on applying psychological principles to enhance performance in sports and professional settings.
He has been featured in media including ESPN, FOX Sports, Golf Channel, and the New York Times. His advisory work includes Ohio State University teams, emphasizing practical mental skills for athletes and professionals.
