Matthew Robinson is a Professor of Sport Management at the University of Delaware, jointly appointed in the Joseph R. Biden, Jr. School of Public Policy and Administration. He serves as the Area Head of the Sport Management Program in the Lerner College of Business and Economics, and has authored two major textbooks: Profiles of Sport Industry Professionals and Sport Club Management.

His research focuses span sport industry leadership, economic development through athletics, and global coaching initiatives. Robinson has collaborated with the USOPC, IOC, and FIBA on international coaching programs, impacting 400+ coaches across 125 countries. His work with the Delaware Sport Commission generated over $80 million in economic impact for the state.

Robinson previously served as interim Director of Athletics and Recreation at UD, overseeing a $29 million budget and 600 student athletes. His partnerships with the NBA, NFL, and international bodies highlight his interdisciplinary approach to sport management and policy.
