Scott Andersen

Scott Andersen is an Adjunct Professor at Albany Law School, where he teaches courses on securities fraud, financial crimes, and internal investigations. He is a former prosecutor with over 19 years of experience in securities enforcement at FINRA, NYSE, and the New York State Attorney General’s Office. Currently, he is the principal of Andersen, P.C., a national SEC and FINRA defense law firm based in NYC.

His career includes roles such as Deputy Regional Chief Counsel at FINRA (2012–2015), Enforcement Director at FINRA and NYSE Regulation, and Co-Chief of the Securities Prosecutions Unit at the New York State Attorney General’s Office. He has handled high-profile cases involving pump-and-dump fraud, insider trading, cryptocurrency securities, and regulatory compliance violations.

Andersen graduated cum laude from Albany Law School and is admitted to practice in New York, Massachusetts (inactive), and Arizona. His professional affiliations include the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
