Sarah Wolff

Professor Sarah Wolff is a leading scholar in International Studies and Global Politics at Leiden University's Faculty of Humanities. She holds the rank of Professor and specializes in EU foreign policy, migration governance, and Mediterranean relations. Previously, she served as Director of the Center for European Research at Queen Mary University of London (2017–2023) and Director of the QMUL MA in International Relations in Paris (2021–2023).

Her research focuses on EU-UK security cooperation, migration policies, and gender/religion diplomacy. Notable contributions include analyses of the EU’s response to the pandemic, post-Brexit Europeanization, and transnational migration dynamics. She has secured major grants, including the NEXTEUK Jean Monnet Centre and a Research Council of Norway award.
