Sarah Odens serves as Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Exhibitions and Lectures in the Department of Art & Art History at Auburn University. She holds an MFA in painting from Michigan State University (2015) and a BA in art and English from the University of Sioux Falls (2012).
Her artistic research critically examines social media imagery and contemporary domestic ideals, translating curated online perfection into abstract paintings that reveal underlying tensions. Odens' creative practice combines curatorial expertise with studio production, informed by her professional experience managing over 70 exhibitions at the Washington Pavilion Visual Arts Center.
