Dr. Sarah Ekdawi is a Faculty Research Fellow at the University of Oxford's Oxford School of English, serving as Reviews Editor for Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies and Assistant Director of Studies. Her expertise spans classical to contemporary Greek poetry, with a focus on metrics, text linguistics, and literary translation. She holds an honorary doctorate in English Teaching from MCU Thailand and serves as a visiting professor there. Her teaching encompasses Modern Greek Literature, Translation Studies, and academic writing.
Education includes a D.Phil. from Oxford (Oxon), M.Phil. in Applied Linguistics, and numerous diplomas in teaching and translation. She actively participates in international conferences and has published widely on Cavafy, Ritsos, and Greek poetic traditions.
