Sarah Doyle is an Associate Professor of Management and Organizations at the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management. She joined the college in 2017 after earning her PhD in Management and Human Resources from The Ohio State University. Her research focuses on status, social hierarchy, interpersonal and intergroup relations, cooperation, competition, and interpersonal helping. She currently co-coordinates the PhD program in the Management and Organizations department.
Her expertise spans organizational behavior and social psychology, with a focus on how status dynamics influence behavior in work settings. Research interests include understanding how status changes affect helping behaviors, interteam negotiations, competitive transgressions, and the psychological mechanisms underlying social hierarchy.
Her work has been published in top journals like Organization Science, Academy of Management Journal, and Journal of Applied Psychology. Notable publications explore topics such as hierarchical team structures limiting interteam negotiations and how recent performance streaks drive unethical behavior in competitive contexts.
