Sarah Dalzell is a Visiting Scientist at the MRC Epidemiology Unit, University of Cambridge (School of Clinical Medicine), and affiliated with the Cambridge Global Food Security Interdisciplinary Research Centre. Her research spans nutrition and global health, with emphasis on dietary transitions in rural and urban contexts in low-income settings, aiming to inform policy and nutrition strategies for non-communicable disease prevention.

Dr. Dalzell's primary research interests include nutrition transition in Sub-Saharan Africa, rural-urban linkages, food security, and public health promotion. She utilizes interdisciplinary approaches, particularly qualitative and mixed methods, to study the impact of migration and urbanization on diet and health. Her work addresses non-communicable diseases and bone health in low-resource settings, often through community-based interventions and collaborations with institutions like the MRC Gambia Unit.
