Dr Sarah Campbell is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Social Care and Social Work at Manchester Metropolitan University, within the Faculty of Health and Education. She holds a PhD from the University of Manchester (2019), focusing on the embodied and sensory experiences of men with dementia in care environments. Her research emphasizes participatory methodologies, inequalities in ageing, and the intersection of gender, place, and care.
She teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Integrated Health and Social Care and Social Work, leading modules on critical perspectives in adult care and research methodologies. Her work explores creative approaches to dementia care, including visual and sensory methodologies, and she co-leads the Social Aspects of Ageing Research cluster.
