Dr. Sara R.S.T.A. Elias is an Associate Professor at the University of Victoria's Gustavson School of Business. Her research bridges entrepreneurship and organizational aesthetics, focusing on arts entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial imagination, creative processes, and qualitative methodologies. She explores how entrepreneurs generate novelty through imaginative processes that integrate past experiences and customer interactions.
Her current research investigates:
- Co-creation of aesthetic value in arts ventures
- Spiritual dimensions of entrepreneurship
- Practice-based entrepreneurial learning
- Innovative qualitative research methods
Dr. Elias has received multiple teaching awards including the 2022 Excellence in Teaching Award from Gustavson School of Business. Her scholarly contributions have been recognized through best reviewer awards from the Academy of Management and finalist standing for the NFIB Doctoral Dissertation Award.
