Sanneke de Haan holds dual roles as Socrates Professor of Psychiatry and Philosophy at Erasmus University Rotterdam and Professor of Bioethics and Ethics of (Mental) Health at Utrecht University. She bridges philosophy and psychiatry, focusing on authenticity in mental health, integration of bio-psycho-social factors, and enactivism. Her work combines qualitative research with philosophical analysis.
Education: PhD (magna cum laude) in Philosophy from Heidelberg University, Research MA (cum laude) and BA (cum laude) in Philosophy from Amsterdam, and BA in Existential Humanistic Counseling from Utrecht University for Humanistics.
