Prof. G Glas is an Endowed Professor at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, holding chairs in Philosophy of Neuroscience (Amsterdam UMC) and Christian Philosophy (Faculty of Humanities). He is a psychiatrist and philosopher with dual expertise in medicine (MD, University of Amsterdam, 1981) and philosophy (MA cum laude, VU Amsterdam, 1982). His research focuses on conceptual/normative interfaces between philosophy, psychiatry, neuroscience, and society, notably developing the 'normative practice approach' for healthcare ethics. He advises multiple organizations including NWO and ZonMW, and leads editorial roles for Philosophia Reformata and Philosophy, Psychiatry, Philosophy. He chairs the Foundation for Psychiatry and Religion and contributes to interdisciplinary collaborations.
