Sanja Perovic is a Professor of French Literature and Cultural History at King’s College London, based in the Faculty of Arts & Humanities’ Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures. She holds a PhD from Stanford University and previously taught at the University of Chicago and the University of Illinois, Chicago before joining King’s in 2008. Her research focuses on 18th-century French literature, the French Revolution, and representations of time, with notable works including *The Calendar in Revolutionary France* (2012) and *Performance Art and Revolution: Stuart Brisley’s Cuts in Time* (2023). She leads the AHRC-funded *Radical Translations Project*, exploring revolutionary language mobility across Europe. Teaching includes modules on revolutionary theories, critical theory, and Enlightenment studies. Collaborations with artists like Stuart Brisley and interdisciplinary projects (e.g., translating revolutionary manifestos) highlight her engagement with performance art and transnational studies. Her work bridges historical analysis with contemporary cultural practices, emphasizing revolutionary legacies and transnational narratives.
