Sandra Resnick

Sandra Resnick is Professor of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine and Associate Director of the VA Northeast Program Evaluation Center (NEPEC) at the Department of Veterans Affairs. She serves as Director of the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) national Measurement Based Care in Mental Health Initiative and is a co-founder of the Yale Measurement-Based Care Collaborative. Dr. Resnick is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in evidence-based practices for individuals with psychiatric disabilities, committed to data literacy and enhancing patient-centered mental health care at all levels of mental health systems.

She has dedicated her career to improving mental health systems through data-driven approaches and evidence-based practices.

Her recent publications demonstrate a strong emphasis on implementing MBC to reduce treatment disparities for populations of color, address clinician burnout, and improve mental health care globally. She has also conducted extensive research on vocational rehabilitation outcomes for veterans with mental health conditions and traumatic brain injuries, examining how employment status relates to mortality outcomes and other health indicators.
