Rani Hoff is a Professor of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine and holds leadership roles as Director of the Northeast Program Evaluation Center (NEPEC) and Director of the Evaluation Division at the National Center for PTSD. She focuses on mental health services research, program evaluation, and disparities in care for veterans, particularly those with PTSD and women veterans. Her work integrates psychiatric epidemiology, implementation science, and quality improvement.

She leads studies like the Survey of the Experiences of Returning Veterans (SERV) and oversees national initiatives such as the Veterans Outcomes Assessment and Veteran Satisfaction Survey.
Recent Work:
Her 2024 studies focus on PTSD symptom trajectories, pain interference in veterans, and gender differences in mental health outcomes. Earlier work includes analyses of depression treatment outcomes, barriers to PTSD care, and interventions for problematic behaviors in adolescents.
