Sandra Eldridge

Professor Sandra Eldridge is an Honorary Professor of Biostatistics at Queen Mary University of London, affiliated with Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. She directs the UKCRC Registered Pragmatic Clinical Trials Unit and serves as Associate Dean for Strategic Developments and Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion lead. Her expertise spans cluster randomized trials, pilot/feasibility studies, and pragmatic trials, with a focus on methodological innovations. She co-authored the CONSORT extension for pilot trials and collaborates extensively on healthcare interventions. Notably, she holds £25 million in research grants and is an NIHR Senior Investigator, Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society, and Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners. Her work emphasizes ethical design, transparency in reporting, and improving trial recruitment strategies. Beyond academia, she is an Anglican Priest, balancing her academic role with pastoral duties.
