Professor Richard Hooper is a Professor of Medical Statistics at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), where he has held roles including Deputy Centre Lead at the Centre for Evaluation & Methods and Lead of the Methodology Research Unit. He is also an Institutional Co-Lead for the NIHR Research Support Service (RSS) Hub. His research focuses on advancing methods for randomized trials, particularly stepped wedge and clustered trial designs, with contributions to statistical guidelines like the CONSORT extension for cluster randomized crossover trials. He has held a Senior Fellowship with the THIS Institute (2019).
