Sandra Brosda

Dr Sandra Brosda is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow within the Surgical Oncology group at the Frazer Institute, University of Queensland. Her research focuses on applying bioinformatics tools to cancer genomics, with expertise in biomarker discovery, tumour evolution, and intra-tumour heterogeneity in melanoma, oesophago-gastric cancer, and pancreatic cancer. She holds a PhD in bioinformatics and cancer genetics from UQ (2020) and has been awarded grants including the Cure Cancer Australia PdCCRs Grant (2021) and MSH Project Grant (2021-2024).

• Education: PhD in Bioinformatics & Cancer Genetics (UQ, 2020); MSc and BSc in Bioinformatics (University of Bielefeld).
• Research Interests: Genomics, radiomics, ctDNA analysis, and precision medicine.

Her work integrates multi-omic data and clinical outcomes to improve therapeutic strategies. Key contributions include studies on tumour heterogeneity in oesophageal adenocarcinoma and immune biomarker development in lymphoma and melanoma.
