Dr. Lauren Aoude is a Senior Research Fellow at the Frazer Institute, University of Queensland, specializing in precision oncology and genomic medicine. Her research integrates genomic sequencing with clinical data to develop prognostic tools and therapeutic strategies for oesophageal adenocarcinoma and melanoma. She holds prestigious fellowships including the NHMRC Emerging Leader Fellowship and leads innovative projects on patient-derived organoid models for personalized cancer treatment.
Her research focuses on genomic biomarkers, liquid biopsy applications, and tumor microenvironment characterization, with strong emphasis on translating findings into clinical practice. She coordinates the Master of Medicine Skin Cancer program, mentoring future medical professionals in evidence-based oncology practice.
