Professor Sally Robinson is a Matthew Flinders Professor in Disability and Community Inclusion at the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Flinders University. She is also an Adjunct Professor at Southern Cross University's Centre for Children and Young People. Her research focuses on inclusive policies, abuse prevention for people with disabilities, and interdisciplinary methods to address social exclusion. She holds a PhD from Griffith University (2010) and has extensive collaborations in disability ethics, child protection, and housing policy. Her work emphasizes co-production with disabled communities, translating research into impactful policy and practice.
Research Interests include: the structure of human services, applied ethics, domestic violence services for people with disabilities, and exclusion/inclusion dynamics. She has contributed to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health, education, and equality. Her expertise spans disability rights, safety frameworks, and participatory research methodologies.
Her recent work highlights policy approaches to violence prevention, co-designed research empowerment, and improving healthcare access for disabled children in Vietnam. She has advised on ethical practices in disability services and NDIS implementation. Key contributions include frameworks for supported decision-making and evaluations of disability support relationships.
