Professor Amanda Robinson is a leading academic in Criminology at Cardiff University’s School of Social Sciences, holding roles as Professor of Criminology and Director of the Universities’ Police Science Institute. Her work focuses on policy-relevant research addressing violence against women, domestic abuse, and criminal justice system responses. Key contributions include shaping the Welsh Government’s 2015 Violence against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Act through initiatives like MARACs and the DASH risk assessment tool. She is also Co-Director of the Security, Crime and Intelligence Innovation Institute, emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration.
