His research targets lipid raft proteomics and Toll-like receptor signaling in environmental diseases like atherosclerosis and sepsis, utilizing novel cross-linking and chemical labeling strategies. Collaborative applications include studying host-pathogen interactions and innate immunity.
Recent projects include 2025 publications on viral/allergenic protein binding domains, tyrosine residue labeling, and intersubunit communication in oxidoreductases. Over 15 high-impact articles since 2015, with methodological innovations in cross-linking and PTM characterization.
Awards include the College of Science Innovation Grant (2024), Bangladesh Council Keynote (2024), Emerging Investigator (JASMS, 2017), and NIH FARE Fellowship (2012).
He has supervised multiple PhD and Master's students, including Ryan Burk and Zixiang Fang, and teaches courses in quantitative chemistry, mass spectrometry, and analytical instrumentation. Active in grant reviewing, workshop organization, and data science committees.
